主要从事森林生态学研究和野生动物保护科普宣传工作。主持国家、省、市等各类科研项目2项；获得河南省自然科学奖一等奖；发表学术论文18篇（其中SCI收录14篇）；申请国家发明专利5件（其中授权3件）。
